Risk & Dispute Management

Our approach to dispute resolution is strategic, pragmatic and commercially-focussed. We are outcome-driven.

Our Risk and Dispute Management team have a proven track record for success. We’ve consistently been involved in many of the largest and most complex commercial disputes in South Australia and elsewhere.

We are driven by your commercial needs and will work closely with you to design strategies to aggressively pursue your commercial objectives. Our depth of experience, resources and specialist industry knowledge mean we’re well-placed to find practical and commercially-relevant solutions for you.

We work with a diverse range of clients, reflecting our deep involvement with a number of different industries. We regularly advise on risk management and disputes in the resources, energy, defence, financial services and wine sectors, working with other specialist lawyers where appropriate to ensure you have the best team for the job.

We have extensive experience in ‘non-court’ dispute resolution – arbitration, expert determinations and mediation and through use of these processes can often avoid the expense, distraction and uncertainty surrounding litigation.

We’ve successfully run high-profile litigation for major clients throughout Australia and internationally. Recently, we successfully settled a significant multi-national product liability dispute arising from one of the largest overseas product recalls in Australian wine and beverage history. We also defeated examination orders in London against the chairman and directors of one of the largest banks in the world and acted for a ‘big four’ accounting firm in what is now the leading auditors’ liability case in Australia.
