Finlaysons are also proficient with the use of PEXA, which streamlines the process of property lodgement and settlement by doing so electronically.

Recent Experience

  • Decades of experience in negotiating, structuring and documenting major urban development projects throughout Australia as well as major mixed use developments, significant urban renewal projects, residential developments, including broad acre, mixed use, strata and community title developments and matters involving commercial buildings, industrial estates, retail shopping centres, golf courses, aged care and retirement estates.
  • Acting for both landlords and tenants with commercial, retail, office and industrial leases where we undertake extensive due diligence investigations for potential acquisitions, and are regularly involved with the development, purchase and sale of commercial, retail, office and industrial assets.
  • Representing financiers in the sale and leasing of all types of properties, including residential properties, farms, vineyards, shopping centres and supermarkets.
  • Preparing key service provider contracts for a major university.
  • Negotiating and advising on lease agreements, land use and land disposal for Government.
  • Represented a major Australian mining company for the creation of a 100km private road to service a large mine, involving negotiation of terms with Government for the construction of the road, the licence providing tenure of the road and documents outlining the costs and obligations binding future users of the road.
  • Advising large corporate clients on environmental, planning and carbon compliance requirements and reporting, project approvals and licensing, water access, tenure options and carbon costs.
  • Secondment to a large mining company to develop an approvals matrix and a retention lease application for an advanced exploration project.
  • Advising a large mining company in relation to tenures advice for transmission lines and infrastructure corridor.
  • Advising and Agribusiness company in regard to rail & service infrastructure and bulk handling facilities including development of precedent construction and consultancy contracts for design & construct, construction and consultancy.
  • Advising numerous developers of large scale residential and commercial (mixed use) developments.
