As a Partner in our Commercial Disputes team, Kirsten has acted in a wide range of corporate and commercial disputes across a range of industries, including wine, energy and resources, property and infrastructure, construction and engineering, defence, education, financial services and agribusiness. Kirsten focusses particularly on complex contractual disputes, negligence claims and matters involving the Competition and Consumer Act and Corporations Act.

Kirsten knows that the majority of her clients would prefer to invest their time and money in their business, not in expensive and time-consuming litigation. Her proactive approach means that she provides clients with relevant, accessible, strategic advice designed to diffuse potential problems before they end up in court. Where litigation is unavoidable, her ability to think strategically combined with her strong technical skills and pragmatic approach, best position her clients to pursue or defend claims.

Kirsten has been involved in litigation in the Federal, Supreme, District, Magistrates’ and Local Courts as well as Commonwealth and State Tribunals. She is also skilled and experienced in resolving disputes via alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes such as mediation, arbitration and expert determination.
